lucaloc perdona la mia ignoranza, potrebbe essere causato dal mio vecchio router? Comuqnue posso provare a fare lo stesso test con il laptop con un altro rj45 cat 6

Le cause possono essere moltissime e non necessariamente è un problema sulla tua linea
eg. io sono su Aruba raccolto a PSP e ho un centinaio di ritrasmissioni e abito in Lombardia ma se già lo faccio su Arezzo la metrica sale moltooo (30k) ma naturalmente la passante è più bassa (è un esempio gente tcl. non picchiatemi ).
Prova anche su it1.speedtest.aruba.it giusto per avere un'idea.

TheMarsican Abbiamo provato con il suo computer a casa mia e purtroppo con la mia connessione anche lui soffre delle mie stesse problematiche. Parte con un picco di 60 MB/s e si assesta intorno ai 30-40 MB/s. La prova del 9 sarebbe che vado io a casa sua a verificare di fare un download con la sua connessione

Sintesi: perdi un po' di pacchetti. Potrebbe essere di tutto e non necessariamente un problema sulla tua linea (fosse significativo te ne accorgeresti ). Stiamo valutando server fuori dalla LAN del tuo ISP quindi può essere il mondo (anche perchè fisicamente c'è tanta strada tra te e i server) e i nostri test sono poco conclusivi.

Puoi fare con Wireshark una cattura per vedere se quando fai partire il download su Steam et. simila vedi problemi.

La velocitá su steam invece era intorno ai 20 MB/s

Eh bhe. Un pacchetto sono c.a. 1400B in 20MB/s ne fai qualcuno.

Sintesi: i test che abbiamo fatto sono abbastanza inconclusivi - visto che sono fatti fuori dalla LAN del tuo ISP - ma evidenziano un possibile PL (non ne ho la certezza ma mi sembravano tante le ritrasmissioni nel test IPerf3). Riprova quando avrai gli apparati del tuo ISP per escludere almeno 1 delle infinite variabili.

Abbiamo scoperto l'acqua calda: quando perdi trame TCP congestion control abbassa la finestra riducendo la banda passante as per progettazione. Rimane da capire se sia un problema significativo o meno.

lucaloc Grazie per la spiegazione!Per quanto riguarda il ping, penso di aver capito che il mio problema principale sia il fatto di abitare in Sicilia e avere Dimensione. Da quello che hai detto, se avessi scelto Tim come ISP, avrei probabilmente ottenuto un ping migliore, forse più che dimezzato rispetto a quello attuale,

prova a fare un test con il tuo amico, vedrai che i ping sono simili direttamente in gioco, secondo come anche migliori dato che la maggior parte dei server eu sono situati al nord
