Buongiorno a tutti, dopo aver passato qualche mese a provare a diagnosticare (senza successo) i problemi rimasti da un precedente disservizio di OF (qui il thread), ci avevo quasi rinunciato credendo fosse semplicemente un comportamento normale delle connessioni ad alta velocità.
Oggi però mi accorgo che specificando alcuni server su speedtest CLI, la parte upload fallisce completamente.
Iniziando con uno speedtest riuscito, verso EOLO milano:

Oltre a questo, come già menzionato nell'altro thread, i trasferimenti file tramite applicazioni P2P hanno velocità sporadiche, che variano in base alla distanza dal peer connesso (generalmente sembra che più lunga sia la distanza, più lenti siano i trasferimenti, in alcuni casi parliamo di qualche KiB/s)

Non so più dove mettere le mani, non credo sia un comportamento normale ma non so neanche cos'altro fare per trovare/risolvere il problema.

                    Aggiornamento: oggi mi ha chiamato l'assistenza di dimensione per caricare un firmware fornito da ZTE che doveva risolvere il problema, ma nulla. Sempre le stesse problematiche sugli stessi server sui quali avevo provato io e anche quelli dettati dal supporto. Ora dicono di dover sentire OF (presumo per scongiurare eventuali problemi di trasporto?) e poi mi sapranno dire. Assistenza da 5⭐ ma spero di riuscire ad uscirne presto perchè tra questo ed altri problemi, sta fibra mi sta sembrando un po' un calvario.

                      nothepin0 Ho provato per curiosità e anche sotto linea Fibercop e ONT Sercomm ottengo risultati molto simili. A me completa la Stage 3 dell'upload ma la velocità è ugualmente bassa e ci sono gli stessi errori di connessione.
                      Dubito che il problema sia OpenFiber, altrimenti non si verificherebbe anche a me...
                      Direi che c'è un problema sulla prima parte in carico alla rete Fastweb o semplicemente il firmware aggiornato non ha risolto nulla.

                          giuse56 Prova su server UTOPIA fiber, sempre Salt Lake City, sembra essere quello che crea più problemi sulla connessione.
                          Le versioni web/mobile di speedtest non hanno nessun problema a terminare il test, ma suppongo che sia perché quei warning vengono ignorati e continua ad aprire nuove connessioni (?)
                          Con vodafone 5G raggiungo i 330 down 60 up, che sono comunque più di quelli che speedtest CLI riporta prima di fallire in upload (e decisamente molti di più di quelli che riporta in download)

                          Nell'attesa del supporto di dimensione, @giacomix11 riusciresti a linkarmi alcune di queste discussioni sui router? non ne trovo neanche una; oppure direttamente, se riesci, consigliami qualche router che non abbia questa problematica. Prenderei il flint2 come consigliato ma vorrei capire se ci sono alternative

                                nothepin0 Con openwrt è abbastanza semplice setuppare il tutto, con una seconda scheda di rete potresti fare una prova avviandolo live sul tuo PC e fare uno speedtest direttamente da li.
                                Potrebbe essere anche interessante usare un setup con minipc + ap con lo ZTE che hai già, sempre se sei abbastanza smanettone 😁.

                                      Sempre velocità basse su UTOPIA, ma qui i test finiscono senza problemi

                                      Facendo altri test con un mio amico in inghilterra sembra che la singola connessione sia "cappata" a ~5MB/s, che va a salire quando si aprono più connessioni (che però cadono spesso, riportando la velocità a quella della singola connessione finchè non si riaprono altre connessioni)

                                      Provato anche un trasferimento P2P con torrent privato, quello va dai 600kbps ai 3-4MB/s; ed un test iperf3, anch'esso apparentemente "cappato" alle velocità da single connection

                                      Tutto questo fatto con un Raspberry Pi 5, settato in BBR come mi era già stato consigliato nel precedente thread.

                                      Qualsiasi altra ipotesi è ben accetta, perchè non so più dove mettere le mani e dove/quale possa essere il problema.

                                      Aggiornamento: ieri ho chiamato l'assistenza di dimensione per sentire se ci fossero novità, mi hanno confermato che il problema è dell'ONT (quindi presumo sia il ben noto problema con il flow control su questo modello) e che stanno aspettando un aggiornamento del firmware, ma non hanno tempistiche specifiche perchè giustamente non è una cosa in carico a loro direttamente.
                                      Domanda, sarebbe possibile richiedere ad OF un cambio di ONT con, per esempio, lo ZTE F6005v3 che risolve questo problema? Oppure devo armarmi di pazienza ed aspettare che nokia rilasci un aggiornamento (se mai lo rilasceranno, visto che il supporto mi dice che questo problema c'è da anni)? Mi sembra assurdo avere 500/1000mbit in upload e non poterli sfruttare per un bug software dell'ONT.

                                        Dimensione potrebbe spingere per un cambio ma se gli approvigionamenti della ditta di zona sono carenti del v3 allora nada.

                                              I vecchi F6005 avevano i buffer sottodimensionati e tramite upgrade del firmware sono riusciti a risolvere/migliorare (sempre che il router lato utente supporti il flow control)

                                                      Comunque di Nokia 2.5G ce ne sono due: quello nero (vecchio) e quello bianco (nuovo), stessa sigla/modello.
                                                      Probabilmente l'hardware è sempre Realtek, ma magari potrebbe esserci qualche differenza per cui non escluderei al 100% che magari riescano a migliorare un pò la situazione dopo 2 anni..🙄
