B818-263 TIM Network Firmware (QUESTION)

hey guys i have a b818-263 tim network firmware (C192 model)
currently i lived in asian country (The Philippines)
but i have a little bit problem with this b818
so now in my country the network band we have here is BAND 1,3,5,28,38,40,41
so the problem is the Band 40 doesn't work, maybe that's because the firmware is not global
so I was wondering if i can change the firmware to global or asian firmware so that the band 40 worked?

Definitely I can tell you tho that in Italy there’s no B40/B41, so perhaps you do need a fw change, not sure.
In this screenshot which bands was it connected to? Also have a look at “miononno hack” for the browser interface, maybe it’s of help to test a cell lock on B40

anyway i tried to lock band 41 it works, but when i try to band lock 40 it doesn't work and also i confirmed that the cell i connected to has band 40

That’s nice, so it shouldn’t be a fw issue… @stich86 are you aware of any limitations on this modem? Also from PLMN he is using SMART, maybe there’s some policy on bands?

x_term there is no restriction on the bands, you can connect each of the bands you like, i also tried other network provider, band 40 is still not work so maybe the firmware need to be changed

Firmwares can have that, and can be decided by the carrier.
In Italy for example there used to be modems like this one on vodafone that had B20 disabled, via a carrier policy.

x_term well i tried other router like huawei b535-932 and it connects band 40 no problem, b818 only has the problem and i was wondering if can i change the firmware on it? i tried to contact huawei on italy but they don't really help, i also wanna try to contact TIM NETWORK but i don't can find contact details.
