Premetto che sono abbastanza ignorante in materia.
Ho acquistato un router Asus GT AX6000 pensando di migliorare la mia connessione internet FTTH a scopo ludico.
Ora il router è collegato "in cascata" alla Vodafone Station, ma volevo eliminare quest'ultima visto che è possibile con l'installazione di un dispositivo ONT. Così Open Fibra mi ha installato dispositivo ONT della Huawei. Quindi ho cercato di configurare il router con i parametri Vodafone:

  • Tipo di connessione WAN: PPPoE
  • Ho inserito le credenziali: vodafoneadsl
  • Porta LAN: 1036
    Ma il router non si connette.
    Ho chiamato l'assistenza della ASUS e mi hanno confermato che quello che avevo fatto è corretto, che normalmente il router si connette e di sentire Vodafone.
    Quindi ho chiamato l'assistenza della Vodafone, il tecnico si è collegato da remoto e dopo aver resettato il router ha rifatto quello che già avevo fatto io con esito negativo.
    Secondo il tecnico è un problema di "incompatibilità" di Vodafone con l'ONT Huawei.
    Avete qualche suggerimento? Se fosse veramente un problema di ONT, è possibile utilizzare un dispositivo di un'altra marca, ammesso che si riesca a configurare?

    L'ONT è correttamente connesso (es. tutte luci verdi)? L'ONT è connesso alla corretta porta "WAN" del router? Il router ha un qualche log dove si possa vedere che problemi incontra?

    L'ONT ha i led POWER, PON e LAN accesi verdi, il led LOS è spento.
    Il router è collegato all'ONT sulla 2,5G/1G WAN (quella blu), poi ho collegato il pc sulla LAN1.

      Come ti è stato detto, posta le foto del tuo setup, sezione wan e iptv.
      Comunque il setup base è questo,per Tim , per Vodafone devi cambiare la vlan e nella sezione Dns metti in automatico.

      Vedo un evento WAN Connection: WAN(0) link down - quel modello ha due WAN o una sola? I led sulla porta (se ci sono) sono attivi, sia dell'ONT che del router? Poi parte PPP ma va in timeout (Timeout waiting for PADO packets).

      Prova anche a cambiare cavo.

      C'è solo una porta wan 2,5G/1G ed il led è rosso, i led sull'ONT sono verdi, ho cambiato il cavo ma non è cambiato nulla.

        Se hai un PC che permette di impostare la VLAN sulla scheda di rete puoi provare a connetterlo direttamente all'ONT e fare le configurazione PPP sul PC per vedere se funziona. Questo permetterebbe di escludere l'ONT come problema.

        PS: fai gli screenshot con le utility del sistema operativo - si leggono molto meglio.

              Collega il PC direttamente all'ONT. In Windows devi andare nelle impostazioni della scheda di rete, e vedere se permette di impostare la VLAN. Non tutte le schede lo permettono, e l'interfaccia per farlo può essere diversa. Ad esempio questa è una vecchia scheda Broadcom:

              Questa è una Intel, che permette di associare più VLAN:

              Una volta che la scheda è configurata con la VLAN di Vodafone, si può provare a creare la connessione PPP. Qui tovi un esempio per come fare - ovviamente devi sostituire le credenziali con quelle di Vodafone. Assicurati che il firewall di Windows sia attivo, se funziona il PC avrà direttamente un IP pubblico internet. Se la connessione si attiva, allora l'ONT funziona.

                Al tab WAN che opzioni ci sono, c'è qualcosa per scegliere la velocità della porta 2.5G\1G per caso?

                  Ciao, l'ho collegato e configurato all'ONT, se è questo che intendi, ma non si connette.

                  Non mi sembra si possa settare la velocità.
