sestarus AFAIK the results from my query are earlier that for example the results posted on hack gpon site.
I thought you had executed the commands
In terms of HW ban, AVM devices operate well in DE on HW infrastructure, large and small DT, DE GF, to name a few.
if they have older firmware versions or have paid huawei to de-block it yes, but by default in new versions it is blocked.
As for time being, it will be solved via Media converter, but this only about market share, politics and so on.
?
sestarus Nothing to do with technology. Once I had a problem with ATT service while living in US. They gave me bunch of answers until I praised their service on dslreports.com from inventors of c, unix, c++, ..
I got call back and the issue was resolved with two commands, very disappointing comparing to service of DT or NTT or ...
Just way of thinking I assume...
Anyhow thanks for your insight
We know that the 5530/5590 only run on olt huawei with older software versions
It doesn't go on olt zte (it does o5-o2-o5-o2 don't know if other states in between)
Does not work on olt nokia (fake o5 - see hack gpon for more info)
actually there are a lot of compatibility problems between ont and olt, but vendors like nokia/huawei put physical "limits" as they block everything that is not authorised and so you have to change software version, hardware version and equipment id and/or get it whitelisted by the network operator, bitterly it's not like GPON, today's news the italian ISP TIM is charging 50k€ to add third party ont support to their network from isps selling on tim FTTH (i know it's in italian, but read the deliberation of italian autority of competition - https://www.agcom.it/documents/10179/30173248/Delibera+11-23-CIR/8b5bf27d-31ca-46f8-9ff2-26cb463b4351?version=1.0) there is a list of proceudre and problems for third-party ONTs.
while some users, suspect a real OMCI compatibility problem for the zte, as I remind you that the ITU standard for GPON is easily interpreted in several ways and the various manufacturers put dozens of ifs in their software for each olt vendor, where they really change details.
